The Firm
A well-regarded boutique law firm in the South of Sydney is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support a Senior Associate in their Workers Compensation team. This client acts on behalf of icare and other insurer clients, and we’re looking for someone with strong defendant experience and confidence in using icare’s online portals.

The Role
In this role, you’ll be working one-on-one with a Senior Associate, assisting in the smooth running of a busy defendant workers compensation practice. Your ability to work proactively and manage tasks with minimal supervision will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Senior Associate
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, including court forms and correspondence
- Managing icare and other online portals, uploading documentation and ensuring compliance
- Drafting brief indexes and compiling briefs to Counsel and experts
- Scheduling medical appointments, mediations and liaising with clients and stakeholders
- File management including opening, closing and archiving files
- Managing calendars, diary entries and travel as required
- Previous experience supporting a fee earner in defendant workers compensation.
- Strong understanding of workers compensation processes and confidence using relevant online portals
- A proactive and highly organised approach to your work
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work independently and take initiative.
