Job Senior System Administrator, Sydney

We're working with a leading financial services organisation who are seeking an immediately available Senior System Administrator to join them on a 3-month contract.

This role will play a key part in a Linux server decommissioning project, ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient removal of legacy systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the decommissioning of Linux servers as part of an infrastructure optimisation program.

• Work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure compliance and minimal business disruption.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the decommissioning process.

• Contribute to documentation and reporting throughout the project.

What we're looking for:

• Strong experience as a Senior System Administrator, with a focus on Linux systems.

• Proven track record in server decommissioning or migration projects.

• Exposure to VMware and Wintel environments highly advantageous.

• Ability to work independently and meet tight project timelines.

• Immediate availability is essential.
