Job Network Security Specialist. Remote, Sydney

A national provider of home loans is seeking an experienced Network Security Specialist to join our IT Operations team who has experience in implementing security tools Tenable, Google SecOps, and or Crowdstrike.


You will be responsible for the design, configuration, maintaining and operating the security network, security components.

This role will be working from home and be working on Big 4 banking security protocols and cutting edge technologies.

This role is critical for stable, secure, trouble free network operations that supports financial services institutions.

Key Responsibilities will include -

• Provide input to design, implementation and provisioning of network solutions to architects.
• Implementation of security tools including Tenable and Google SecOps and crowdstrike.
• Network Security: A strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM)
• Tenable Vulnerability management ; risk-based vulnerability management platform analysis
• Security Protocols: Knowledge of various security protocols and standards is vital for implementing and maintaining secure systems.
• Malware Analysis: Understanding malware analysis techniques (reverse engineering, dynamic/static analysis)
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse security logs, identify patterns, and draw conclusions from data for threat detection and incident response.

Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and mitigate security breaches

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
· 5+ year's experience working within the IT Service Provider / Mid-Large corporate / IP network communications environments.
· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or other relevant industry qualifications.
· Experience with LAN/WAN/VLAN technologies, management and troubleshooting techniques.
· Knowledge of IP security implementation, multi-vendor IPS, URL filtering.
· Knowledge of Exterior and Interior Routing Protocols
