About the Role
This position sits within the Curricula Renewal project team within the Education Development and Improvement area of the Education, Learning and Assessment team. The Curricula Renewal project team is responsible for the innovation, development, review and implementation of RACP education programs and curricula.
The primary role of the Curriculum Implementation Officer is to support the change management and implementation of the College’s newly-developed curricula and supporting technology platform (Microsoft D365). This includes managing a diverse range of stakeholders involved in specialist medical training programs in healthcare settings across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Design, develop, organise, facilitate and evaluate virtual and face-to-face workshops, training sessions, and orientation sessions to upskill RACP members and stakeholders on new curricula and supporting technology platform.
- Manage, support, negotiate with, and advise committees, member groups and external stakeholders to how to develop and implement curricula and training resources.
- Maintain a working knowledge of supporting technology platform (Microsoft D365) functionality to provide accurate, timely, and user-friendly advice to stakeholders.
- Analyse stakeholder needs and the impact of proposed changes, and devise and implement plans to address those needs and impacts.
- Effectively, succinctly and accurately communicate educational principles and curriculum design features
- Build relationships with stakeholders and cultivate buy-in for change.
- Develop clear and concise communication, change management and stakeholder management plans and collateral to support implementation activities.
- Effectively translate information, such as educational concepts and stakeholder feedback, into actionable plans and products.
- Manage relationships with a complex group of internal and external stakeholders to engage them in curricula renewal and implementation, achieve required outputs and meet delivery timeframes.
- Manage enquiries, complaints, feedback and compliments received via a wide range of channels in a professional, courteous, knowledgeable and timely manner.
- Track and document feedback to inform FAQs, training materials, and other change management activities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the technology platform by gathering stakeholder feedback, identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions and workarounds.
- Document processes, systems, work practices and procedures to ensure consistency, transparency and timely information-sharing.
- Document and appropriately escalate stakeholder management concerns, risks and issues.
- Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of change activities.
- Work on other education projects or business as usual, as required.
Essential Attributes
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. adult education, communications, change management) and/or extensive relevant experience
- Proven customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, facilitate and evaluate workshops and training sessions
- Outstanding oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- High level conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to translate, synthesise and summarise complex information

- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, MS Teams, Zoom and online collaboration tools
- Willingness to travel occasionally, and facilitate occasional sessions outside usual business hours (time in lieu given)
