We're partnering with a well-established insurance brokerage in the Sydney CBD to recruit a Client Manager within their broking division. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse $400k - $500k income portfolio of clients across industries, while being supported by a dynamic and collaborative team.
The Role:
- Take ownership of a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering high-level service and advice across all general insurance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
- Conduct annual pre-renewal meetings and internal strategy sessions where required.
- Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, proactively identifying and managing insurance needs.
- Arrange specialised insurance cover in complex cases and manage the insurance marketing process to deliver optimal results.
- Provide clients with written confirmation of cover prior to expiry and detailed insurance manuals post-renewal.
- Prepare professional, detailed reports for new business and renewals.
- Manage claims awareness and ensure progress is monitored and communicated.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through referrals and networking.
- Mentor and support junior team members including Client Executives and Assistants.
- Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking is essential; a University degree is highly regarded.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in the General Insurance industry, with majority of these years spent in a broking or underwriting capacity.
- Strong account management experience with confidence in handling complex commercial portfolios.
- Proficiency in understanding compliance frameworks and adhering to regulatory standards.
- Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience using systems such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, IBAIS or similar.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Passionate about customer service, business growth, and building long-term client relationships.
- Motivated, self-driven, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team environment.
- New business commission for developing existing portfolios and converting new leads.
