Business Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across the Private Wealth division nationally

An exciting opportunity to be part of the wider Perpetual Wealth Management team and lead the design and implementation of business initiatives, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery, and help facilitate regulatory compliance across all offices.
The role as National Business Manager will act as a key conduit between the Private Clients Leadership Team, Partners and enabling functions including Practice Management & Enablement and Client Solutions teams, the National Business Manager to help foster a performance-driven culture, supporting adviser effectiveness, and enhancing client experience.
About the Role:
Strategic Execution
Successful co-ordination of national business strategies and initiatives aligned with PWM’s growth objectives, in conjunction with PCLT and key stakeholders.
Co-ordination of measurable improvements in operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability, as agreed with the PCLT across our strategic initiatives.
Operational Excellence
Lead the operational and risk portfolios across Private Clients Business Unit, via the co-ordination of our risk monitoring and control frameworks.
Performance management of SLA’s of enabling divisions, via oversight of key processes and systems across all offices to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery.
Assistance in resolution of service issues and continuous enhancement of client engagement and service processes.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Full compliance with financial services regulations and internal governance frameworks.
Proactive identification and mitigation of operational and regulatory risks.
National Coordination & Communication
Seamless coordination between offices to ensure alignment and consistency in service delivery and operations.
Clear and timely communication of business priorities, changes, and performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Development
Work with the PCLT to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all offices.
Coordinate training and development programs to build capability and performance.
Operational Management
Develop and implement scalable business processes to support adviser productivity and client outcomes.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field – desired.
8–10 years’ experience in financial services, ideally within private wealth management or private banking.
Demonstrated success in business operations, financial oversight, and strategic project delivery and problem solving.
Exposure to national business environments and willingness to travel interstate as required.
Deep understanding of operational processes, client service delivery, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills.
High-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities
