Network Engineer - Sydney - NV1 clearance - Contract
12 months initial contract length plus extensions
Up to 900p/d incl. super contract rate
Sydney-based role, with working sites across CBD, Eastern Suburbs and Inner West
Kinexus have been engaged by a global business with deep roots in critical infrastructure and Defence delivering network and communications solutions. We're searching for a Network Engineer to join a team that delivers key installation and sustainment services to satellite communications capability across branches of the Australian Defence Force.
In this role you will be the SME for IP networking and ICT servers in the team leading efforts to implement and sustain capabilties on Defence sites. You'll be responsible for installing and configuring network and infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls and Linux/Windows servers whilst working at heights or in confined spaces. There will also be on-call required in this role.
This is an initial 12 month contract with potential extension options, based across multiple Sydney locations. We can pay a daily rate of between 800-900p/d excl. GST depending on your level of experience. You must have a minimum of NV1 security clearance to be considered for this role.
Selection Criteria:
- A minimum of NV1 security clearance is essential
- CCNP certification or equivalent Cisco IP networking experience
- Windows and/or Linux system administration experience
- Experience in installing and managing firewalls
- Any experience within the Defence industry is desirable
