A leading Australian-owned apparel group is seeking a motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple on-campus and standalone retail uniform shops, as well as the online division. About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with Shop Managers and their teams to drive operational excellence, elevate customer service, and ensure consistent performance across all retail and online channels. You’ll be hands-on in developing high-performing teams, managing inventory, optimising store operations, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail locations, both on-campus and standalone.
- Partner with Store Managers on business planning, performance reporting, and operational updates.
- Conduct regular store visits to support, train, and mentor staff.
- Manage recruitment, rostering, and onboarding of store managers and team members.
- Foster a customer-first culture across all channels.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, annual stocktakes, and product education.
- Manage the online store to meet school and customer expectations.
- 5+ years’ experience in multi-site retail leadership.
- Experience in uniforms, apparel, or specialty retail highly regarded.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong background in driving customer-centric outcomes.
- Proven ability to motivate, train, and develop high-performing teams.
- Skilled in cash management, inventory control, and operational best practice.
- Tech-savvy with solid computer literacy.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
