The Role
As Site Manager, you will take ownership of a complex commercial project. A $20M sporting facility the first of its kind to be built in over 40 years.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will lead all on-site activity—ensuring safety, quality, and program alignment while driving team performance and stakeholder collaboration.
If you have delivered civic projects including aquatics centers, leisure centers, transport hubs or large industrial projects this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Ideally 5+ year experience in commercial and / or industrial
- Supervise daily site operations, including subcontractor and supplier coordination
- Prepare sites pre-construction, including set-out and establishing site facilities
- Monitor and manage project timelines, quality standards, and safety compliance
- Motivate and lead on-site teams to work efficiently and collaboratively
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders professionally
- Conduct subcontractor pre-start meetings and ensure compliance with WHS and insurance requirements
- Manage site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce safe work practices
- Maintain site documentation and reporting using Procore
- Contribute to design reviews, procurement, and tender input as required
- Ensure budgets are maintained and escalate any risks to project delivery
- Provide high-level customer service and uphold company policies and procedures
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial / industrial projects
- Full site-based delivery of an industrial project with heavy civil components
- Strong knowledge of construction methodology, WHS legislation, and site management systems
- Excellent leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore experience desirable)
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes
- Ability to manage subcontractor performance and site-based coordination effectively
- A positive, proactive mindset and ability to drive outcomes under pressure
