About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Sydney focusing on growing our commercial painting business and cross-selling other property services to existing customers.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will identify and drive new business opportunities across all markets within your territory - initiating contact with key decision makers and building strong relationships and commercial solutions to secure the business. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by selling high value long-term contracts. The role requires you to develop, write and present proposals and bids to stakeholders.

Nature of the position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Auburn

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the business throughout your Inner Sydney region
  • Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research
  • Utilize your sound sales history, particularly in trades and services, to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers
  • Prepare accurate sales estimates and develop professional proposals that showcase our offerings
  • Leverage your previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to effectively manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience increasing sales by growing revenue from existing customers and sourcing new customers.

  • Establish partnerships, manage customer relationships, and key accounts
  • Have a desire to maximize results for customers by identifying their needs
  • Are successful at consistently sourcing and developing prospects into long standing customers
  • Ability to maintain a strong and profitable sales pipeline
  • Proficient in cross selling, negotiation and closing deals
  • Have excellent influencing, communication & presentation skills
