We’re looking for an expert in Motorola P25 technology to work on the Public Services Network. You’ll be the go-to technical authority for network operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and swift fault resolution across one of Australia’s most critical communications networks.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and maintain Motorola P25 PSN tools (UNC, ZoneWatch, UEM, CPS, SWDL, etc.)
- Provide high-level support for site power systems (240VAC, generators, -48VDC batteries), shelter infrastructure, and coverage issues
- Lead problem management, root cause analysis, and engineering escalations
- Deliver training and guidance to internal teams, contractors, and partners
- Assist with project works, quotations, site testing, and acceptance
- Participate in the after-hours on-call roster and travel to regional sites as needed
- Expert knowledge of P25 Land Mobile standards and interoperability protocols
- Strong DC power systems knowledge and systems-level fault-finding skills
- Advanced communication, planning, and customer service abilities
- Bachelor’s degree (Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications) or equivalent
- 15+ years in mobile communications systems engineering or similar
