Student Administration at the University of Notre Dame offers expert support in student services, compliance, and academic administration.
The National Manager Student Services & Graduations reports to the Director Student Administration and is responsible for managing and delivering a high standard of complex student administration across a broad range of domains including examinations, student record management, international student compliance and graduation and related academic administration.
About the role
The National Manager, Student Services and Graduation will take a collaborative, student-focused approach and work closely with colleagues across Student Administration and the University. They will support services and graduations that reflect the University's values and are both student- and community-oriented.
The role ensures effective service delivery to Academic Divisions, the Office of the Vice Chancellor, and senior leaders, while supporting the Director in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high service standards. The position reports to the Director, Student Administration.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage staff within Student Services and Graduations, overseeing operations such as student records, examinations, graduations, and international compliance.
- Maintain integrated student service delivery across the student lifecycle, including communication and frontline services.
- Ensure accurate academic administration and regulatory compliance, particularly related to graduation and international student records (ESOS Act).
- Enhance the student experience by driving continuous service improvements and incorporating feedback, while ensuring graduation ceremonies maintain academic standards and integrity.
- Develop efficient systems for managing student academic records, including grades, enrolments, transcripts, and certifications.
- Collaborate with Student Administration leaders to ensure consistent service delivery across all campuses, while building team capability to meet current needs and adapt to future demands.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and quality assurance, ensuring policies are effectively implemented and service standards are regularly monitored and reported to meet University KPIs.
- Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience, or extensive management experience and proven management expertise or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven experience managing complex student administration teams across diverse domains, including domestic and international areas, with strong skills in issue identification and resolution.
- Experienced in managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder student-centric events and leading teams effectively.
- Experienced in working methodically and following established guidelines and procedures.
- Demonstrated detailed understanding of the strategic priorities of Student Administration, including student services, systems, compliance, and their impact on both internal and external client service.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with proven ability to develop and implement measures to monitor service requirements, including user feedback systems to meet key performance indicators.
- Able to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries, building effective relationships internally and externally through clear and strong communication.
- Coordinate and direct teams within complex organisational frameworks.
- Manage issues and deliver complex reports with technical components under tight deadlines.
