About the Role
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you'll contribute directly to data quality initiatives, critical data element identification, and data analysis activities across the business.
The role sits within a collaborative data team supporting both BAU and project-driven work, with a strong emphasis on getting someone up to speed quickly and adding value from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and define Critical Data Elements (CDEs) across key business processes
- Perform data analysis using SQL to support data quality initiatives
- Develop and implement data quality rules and validation checks
- Analyse and ensure data consistency across multiple datasets
- Support data cataloguing and metadata activities (definitions, ownership, classification)
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Strong SQL / data analytics skills (essential)
- Experience working with data quality, validation, or data integrity processes
- Background in data analysis, reporting, or data-focused roles
- Exposure to data governance, metadata, or cataloguing concepts
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with data quality tools or frameworks
- Exposure to regulated environments (banking, insurance, government)
- Understanding of data governance principles or CDE frameworks
