The Role
This position will be reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer. Accountable for maintaining mine plans and schedules to ensure production goals are achieved or exceeded in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Duties
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in safety by reviewing existing engineering designs and implementing new designs.
- Develop plans and designs for regulatory compliance and compliance to Company policies, procedures and standards.
- Promote and adhere to Company safety policies.
- Become proficient with monthly cadence of mine scheduling tasks.
- Schedule and review mine planning and mine design to increase value to operation.
- Optimise production and minimise dilution through mine designs and production scheduling.
- Complete stope reconciliations to verify quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
The Candidate
- A Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
- Valid Australian visa with full working rights
- 3-6 years of UG mine engineering experience.
- Strong Deswik Skills – (CAD, IS and Scheduler)
- Have strong communication and people skills.
