About the role

As a Portfolio Manager - Private Equity, you'll be collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, playing a crucial part in shaping the strategy for our Private Equity investment domain. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring that the outcomes we deliver are always in the best financial interests of our members.
Day to day, you'll:
- Help shape and execute the overall strategy for our Private Equity investment domain, ensuring it aligns with our goals.
- Evaluate and manage investments both in Australia and offshore.
- Provide insightful recommendations and performance updates to key stakeholders, including the Investment Committee, when needed.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners as you'll be influencing decisions that align with the best financial interests of our members.

About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce, or economics.
- You've spent plenty of time in the Investments industry, with knowledge of legislation, regulations, market trends, risk-reward optimisation, and emerging issues.
- You have a solid understanding of the Australian superannuation industry.
- You're a whiz at research and analysis.
- You're great at managing stakeholders and negotiating.
- You have well-developed written and oral communication skills, and you're comfortable presenting to senior levels.
