Rusty Wiley is President and Chief Executive Officer of Datasite, a leading SaaS platform used by enterprises globally to execute complex, strategic projects.
Rusty joined the company in 2014, when it was still known as Merrill Corporation, and subsequently led the successful transformation of the business from a collection of financial communications and print-related businesses into a leading, global M&A SaaS technology company.
In 2020, Wiley led Datasite through its acquisition by, a London-based private equity firm. Subsequently, he successfully launched new applications on the Datasite platform to support the end-to-end M&A deal life cycle, adding significant value for customers.
He also led the successful acquisition of several SaaS companies in support of the firm’s growth strategy, including and.
Before joining Datasite, Rusty held a variety of executive roles across sales, consulting, and general management at IBM Corporation, where his last role was General Manager, Banking & Financial Markets.
Rusty holds an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business, and a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from East Carolina University.
In 2020, Rusty led Datasite through its acquisition by CapVest, a London-based private equity firm. He also led the successful acquisition of several SaaS companies in support of the firm’s growth strategy, including Firmex, MergerLinks, Sealk, and Ansarada.
Prior to joining Datasite, Rusty held a variety of senior executive roles across sales, consulting, and general management at IBM Corporation, where his last role was General Manager, Banking & Financial Markets.
